I am Mohammed Abdulghani bin Shahed Ahmed bin Mohammed Abdulghani Sheikh bin Sheikh Malang. My journey in life takes me from Hyderabad (India), where I was born, to Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), where I grew up to Chicago (USA), currently living and working.

Since the summer of 2006 I’ve been working with Orbitz (NYSE: OWW) as a Software Engineer. My interests are in java programming, python, middleware application and core frameworks development. Quality, Quality, Quality … I love quality in the tools that I use and naturally leads me to produce quality in my work. That’s pretty much it for my professional life. An avid mac fan and a technologist at heart.

Above all I am a Muslim. I testify to the fact that Allah is the one and only being worthy of worship. I testify that Muhammed the son of Abdullah P.B.U.H is the slave and last and final Prophet of Allah. Islam is my way of life. I have a desire to learn about the different sciences of Islam. Of particular interest to is the science of Fiqh. It is the code of law for a Muslim based on The Quran and Sunnah of The Prophet P.B.U.H. I am student of knowledge at the Riyad As-Saliheen institute in Lombard, IL and attend various lectures organized by AlMaghrib Institute in America.

As a voluteer, I am on the Board of Directors at Al-Furqaan Foundation. Al-Furqaan is a non-profit Islamic Dawa organisation. It’s aim is to distribute a copy of the English translation of The Quran to every non-muslim Home, Hotel room, Hospital, College dorm and retirement home in America. By doing this we are giving an oppportunity to everyone to judge Islam based on its source and not based on the mis-information spread by media and individuals.
