Can’t wait to get back!

It’s been 1 year in the making. :)

Old meets new

02/23/2011

At our home in Hyderabad, India, this old rotary phone is still in service. It’s atleast 30 years old and has yet to see the lights of service center. This speaks volumes about the quality of engineering and manufacturing in those days. Today most of our electronics have an average life of 3-5 years. While life expectancy of humans goes up, that of technology goes down.

Sad state of Muslim men

01/11/2011

“If a panel of Muslim men, whose origins were in the Muslim world, were to choose Miss World, the title would likely never leave Scandinavia”. This is a quote for a nice article by Imam Zaid Shakir “New Islamic Directions”. In many way the article aptly narrates the state of affairs about a lot of our Muslims male brethren. I suggest you make a cup of chai or brew your favorite coffee and sit down to read it and ponder.

Convert your new iPod nano into a watch

11/24/2010

When Apple launched the latest iPod nano, people all over the blogosphere said, ‘almost an iWatch’. The design firm Mnml has come up with an awesome concept. It’s almost ready for production and I believe its going to be a huge success. Like their other designs this concept kit seems like a thing of beauty to match Apple’s own new design of the nano.
